DLIA's fern forays have been going
on since 2001. The forays take
place near trails and their main
objective is to build distribution
maps of the Park's fern species.
They are a lot of fun and informative.
This foray will take place on Little
Greenbriar, Curry Mtn, Meigs
Creek, and Cucumber Gap.

ANNIVERSARY
CADE'S COVE
Special exhibits and programs
will highlight the cultural history
of Cades Cove. The finale will be
an outdoor performance by the
Knoxville Symphony Orchestra.
Passes can be purchased by calling
the KSO box office at 865-291-3310.
Only 2 passes will be issued per
person. The cost of the vehicle pass
is $25 for vehicles with up to a
15 passenger capacity and $50 for
vehicles with a capacity of greater
than 15. A portion of the ticket
sales will be donated to the Friends
of the Smokies organization.

THE 75th
ANNIVERSARY AT PARK
HEADQUARTERS
An open house at Park Headquarters
will highlight park development,
park management activities, park architecture, and the role of
the
Civilian Conservation Corps.
An exhibit, "Snapshots of 1934, the
Establishment Year of GSMNP"
featuring some authentic and some
reproduction archival materials
including photos, maps, drawings,
data sheets, journal entries, and a
few small artifacts will be on display
in the Sugarlands Training Room.
